きづまとえぐね　初雪の朝

きづま　：木積、木端　家の外周りに薪で作った塀。雨よけの屋根があるものもある。　薪の乾燥と保管場所を兼ねている。きれいに積み上げた木口が美しい。 えぐね　：家垣根、イグネともいう。常緑樹や針葉樹を敷地の周囲に巡らせ、冬の厳しい西北風から家屋敷を守る。えぐねの材は建築素材にもなる、北国の農家の伝統的な知恵。 ウマも同居する南部曲がり屋の、初雪の朝です。中庭の畑にも雪が積もりました。雪かきの季節が始まり、住民はため息です。 どの季節でも美しい東北の農村風景ですが、薄く一面雪に覆われた初冬の朝は、太陽が低いため雪の結晶がキラキラ反射して格別です。 Kizuma: wood stacks, wood edges: A fence made of firewood around the house.
